Hate crime

Hate crime is when a person is targeted because of a prejudice towards them.

Hate crimes can include:

  • threatening behaviour
  • assault
  • robbery
  • damage to property
  • inciting others to commit hate crimes
  • harassment

Incidents of hate crime should be reported to the police. Contact police on 101 or 999 in an emergency. You can also report a hate crime to your local police force via where you can also find out more information regarding internet hate crime.
