Family Mosaic’s work to improve the energy efficiency of its homes has won the Landlord of the Year category in the Greater London Regional Energy Efficiency and Healthy Homes Awards. The accolade was awarded for our ‘Affordable Warmth’ programme of works, which has improved the insulation standards on thousands of old and cold homes.
Andrew Sillitoe and Shaun Gillam from our Asset Management team accepted the award for Family Mosaic. They were joined by Danielle Fulker and Natasha Grant (both pictured) from Saving Energy, our long term sustainability project partners.
Over the past few years, we have worked closely with Saving Energy to install solid wall insulation on our older properties in East London. We have also improved cavity wall and loft insulation. This sustainability driven project has meant that residents now benefit from cheaper fuel bills which we estimate to be over £500,000 to date.
Over the next 18 months, we expect to build on this success by delivering solid wall insulation to a further 350 homes, cavity wall insulation to over 3,000 homes and loft insulation to 1,500 homes. We will once again be partnering with Saving Energy as well as the Warm Front Team.
