Care and Support

Exciting times for Care and Support

We have been successful in our tender for delivery of a new young people's service in Havering to provide supported housing at a new purpose built service located at ‘The Old Station Works’ in Harold Wood.

This service will address the needs of young people at risk, young offenders and young people leaving care whose placement has come to an end.

This success increases our service provision in Havering and will strengthen further our already positive relationship with the Supporting People team in the borough, while also enabling us to further build on our successful young people provision across Essex and London.

Floating Support awarded top marks

The services, which operate in Southend, Thames Gateway, Havering and Thurrock, provide short-term support services to vulnerable peoeple, regardless of their tenure, who maybe experiencing problems maintaining their accommodation or have health or other issues which affect their ability to cope with day-to-day living.

These are hard times for those of us working in Care and Support.

We now have over 1000 staff supporting over 4000 vulnerable people. For us it is core business where we add lots of value to individuals and communities. We will continue to focus on growing this part of our work.

On a winning streak
