Southend on Sea Borough Council’s Supporting People service has from the 3rd November 2008 commissioned Family Mosaic and intouch to provide the new access arrangements, known as the gateway service, for the Floating Support Service.
To meet this aim the service will have an “open access” approach, which simply means that anybody who has a connection to Southend and has a housing support need can apply for a service. We take direct applications, applications from family or friends and applications from statutory, community and voluntary services and we operate a priority based waiting list to manage demand at peak times.
We are committed to meeting the housing support needs of a wide spectrum of people across the local communities we work in and this includes people with more complex and challenging support needs. To support this aim we are committed to providing a priority response to those people who find themselves in a housing crisis. If you are applying for support either for yourself or on behalf of someone else and you or they are in crisis please make that clear on your application so we can respond accordingly.
To find out more about the type of support we can provide, how to contact us and apply directly for a service please follow the links below, or please feel free to make any general enquires about our service in Southend.
