Dogs barking

Dogs barking is not anti-social behaviour unless it’s persistent.

It is natural for dogs to bark from time to time but if it’s persistent or if it’s late at night it can be a nuisance.

If you are being disturbed by a neighbour’s barking dog you should first try speaking to them about it or leave a polite note or a “Dear Neighbour” card which is available from our Customer Care Team by calling 0300 123 3456. You can download it here.

You can also report barking dogs to your local authority Environmental Health Team.

If you are concerned for the safety or a dog or that a dog is aggressive, please contact the RSPCA or Police immediately on 0300 1234 999.
