Family Mosaic enjoys record year for shared ownership sales
We are pleased to announce a record
year for sales having recently sold our 300th
property for the financial year 09/10. This is almost an 80% increase on sales
during 08/09, which closed at 169.
Despite ongoing
economic gloom this means shared ownership schemes are
increasingly critical in helping first time buyers get onto the property ladder. We have a 'big, but local' ethos
which means that while we enjoy financial
strength in the affordable property market across London, we retain a strong community focus, encouraging
people on lower incomes to get onto the
property ladder in areas that would
otherwise be unavailable to them - such as
Hoxton, Islington, and
Bow.
We have also responded to market conditions by pioneereing innovative financial solutions to help new purchasers, such as 'rent to homebuy' - rent now, buy later.
Chris Roads, Sales and Marketing Director for Family Mosaic comments: "We are selling properties across a broad spectrum of needs and income levels.
With lenders still reluctant to lend and London house prices still often prohibitive despite the crash, first-time buyers are increasingly seeing shared ownership schemes as the best route to home-ownership. Affordable homes are starting to reflect this trend, with high specifications and upmarket facilities. Combining an excellent location with innovative design and specification at an affordable price, it is easy to understand why purchasers have queued at our launches in order to avoid missing out."
On the back of this success we are launching two unique shared ownership developments this year, Quadrant Court in Wembley and Esprit Apartments @ Strata in Elephant & Castle. Quadrant Court will provide 37 apartments forming part of the regeneration of Wembley City.
The Esprit Apartments consists of 98 affordable residential units within the Strata building, the new architectural icon soaring 42 storeys above Elephant and Castle. It offers a rare opportunity to get onto the property ladder in an architectural masterpiece spearheading the renaissance of an area of marked deprivation.
