Earls Court Works Manager swaps four wheels for two to help the environment - and save time!
A works manager who oversees maintenance work on Family Mosaic properties in west London has got on his bike to help to help the environement - and save time.
Paul Downes is a familiar sight to residents of our properties around the
Earls Court area as he travels between properties, ensuring repairs and
maintenance are carried out efficiently.
Now he has parked his van for the last time and swapped four wheels for two to help our contractor Ian Williams help the environment and lower its carbon footprint.
Paul has had the bike specially painted in Ian Williams livery, said: “Because I am works manager, I no longer need a van to carry tools and materials around to the different sites. I am a keen cyclist anyway and this seemed like a sensible way to help the environment and to save time and money. It means I can provide an even more efficient service as I can cut through traffic and don’t have to worry about parking. With zero emissions, it is also helping Ian Williams to reduce its carbon footprint to help the planet.
“There are no petrol costs and the livery means everyone can see who I work for and that Ian Williams takes environmental concerns seriously. Maybe this will spurt other people on to start do their bit to help.”
