Men's Health Week at Family Mosaic got off to a great start last month with open days in both Hackney and Lambeth.

Clients joined us at several events across London to find out about the benefits of living an active and healthy life through a number of workshops, seminars and informal Question and Answer sessions with us and a number of health providers also in attendance.

The events were organised as part of National Men's Health Week by the Men's Health Forum which promotes awareness of male health issues.

Health providers giving advise and guidance included NHS, Terrance Higgins Trust, Smoking Cessation, Dentist, advocacy for BME and physical and Mental disabilities, Return to Dignity.

At both events our Supporting People Commissioners attended and were very impressed with the work we were doing and how we are going to sustain this in the future.

We aim to continue with this drive for awareness of male health to help more of our clients understand there health needs and support and sign post to those who can help.
