Our Community Regeneration team is dedicated to developing a wide range of
tenant-focussed projects, community activities, employment and training
initiatives, financial inclusion programmes and other regeneration programmes.
We partner our local residents and other agencies such as Groundwork and our local authorities to develop sustainable improvements.
We have a
programme of community grants to
help our tenants and their families to get the most out of their communities. For example:
We support breakfast clubs in local primary schools across four boroughs;
Our ‘area based programmes’ target areas that will benefit most from some form of neighbourhood action plan, culminating in new facilities such as green areas, fencing and play equipment that help to reduce crime and anti-social behaviour;
Our partnership with local Credit Unions, who offer secure savings and low-cost loans, provides our residents with a better way of borrowing money as they charge lower interest rates than banks and are run by community members.
We have a dedicated Youth Programme Coordinator, whose role is to co-ordinate summer activities to combat some of the causes of youth boredom and related ASB. These have included football training, canoeing, drama, and art workshops.
