Volunteering

We believe passionately in the benefits of volunteering for individuals, organisations and communities.

We are committed to supporting and enabling volunteering in all its diversity.

Volunteering can be a fantastic way to gain new skills and experiences, meet new people and give something back to the community.

We welcome people from all parts of society to participate in our volunteering opportunities. We acknowledge and appreciate the skills and experiences that volunteers from all walks of life can bring.

Our volunteering roles are open to anyone, not just Family Mosaic tenants and customers. As long as you are 16 or over, you may be eligible to take part. Whether you want to volunteer to give something back, gain experience that may lead to paid work or as a hobby, we will try our best to help find the right volunteering role for you.

Why volunteer

  • It gives you a chance to give something back while having fun, gain new skills, make a difference, build on existing experience and knowledge, and meet new people.
  • Volunteering can boost your wellbeing, help you connect with others, develop your talents and strengthen your community.
  • You will have an opportunity to build your self-confidence and self-esteem.
  • Our volunteers feel valued and are part of a team.
  • We will be as flexible as possible and offer one-off, short-term and long term opportunities.
  • You will receive role-based service training and support.
  • If you volunteer reliably for 6 months, we will guarantee you an interview for our relief bank. Full and part time, permanent and flexible paid roles are available.
  • We will provide a professional reference after 3 months of reliable volunteering.
  • Great opportunities for gaining experience in a range of roles.
