  • Arts & Crafts Basic sewing workshop

    For this session we will be creating different types of sewing techniques, it will be a basic workshop and we will make and create small pillows, you can also add designs onto the pillows if you require, there will be a range to choose from and you can make as many as you like to improve your skills, and work out a best technique for you.

    It will be fun and relaxed and we will all interact with each other, to come up with some different designs.

    This workshop is for you to get smarter at managing your personal finances and make better shopping decisions, for you to recognise what is necessary expenditure and what is unnecessary

    * Shop smart around food (minimise waste) and clothes
    * Work out a simple income and expenditure sheet and plan around it
    * Decide on necessary versus unnecessary spending

  • Emergency First Aid Level 2 Certificate

  • Arts & Crafts marbling ink and sand art bottles

    For this session we will create marbling ink paper and card designs using special effects with glass paint and pens with stick ons to make different creations in the morning and then start on the sand art bottles in the afternoon, using different sand colours shapes and sizes, different bottles will be available.

    This workshop will be a creative workshops using different types of art equipment and interacting with other individuals.

  • Health and Safety Level 2 Certificate

    This 1 day course is designed to ensure that individuals are aware of their own safety in a work environment and the safety of others.

    You will learn:

    * The principles of health and safety and accident prevention

    * The importance of risk assessment as a technique for accident and ill health prevention
    * The responsibilities placed on employers and employees
    * How to recognise a hazard and main causes of harm to workers (manual handling, hazardous substances, exposure to noise and vibration)
    * The importance of following systems, procedures and rules
    * How individual action can reduce risks to health and safety
    * How workplace equipment and task design affect health and safety

  • Yoga & Relaxation

    This one day course aims to Motivate and Inspire customers to learn the power of yoga with relaxation and meditation with breathing techniques to practice.

    * Practice hatha yoga postures with breath work
    * Take away relaxation and meditation techniques to use.

  • Food Safety Level 2 Certificate

    This 1 day course offers a basic understanding of food safety in a catering environment. It aims to provide knowledge and understanding of food hygiene.

    You will learn:

    * How to take personal responsibility for food safety
    * The importance of keeping working areas/ surfaces clean and hygienic
    * Importance of keeping food safe and associated food hazards
    * Good practice in the handling, processing and preparation of food

    The qualification is awarded after the successful completion of a 45 minute multiple choice exam. This is the basic qualification needed to work in catering.

  • Basic numeracy & literacy skills
