Our training programmes are free and available to Family Mosaic residents and customers.

Our training courses are available to Family Mosaic residents and customers who are:

  • 16 years of age or over
  • living in areas where we are working in partnership
  • willing to engage with us

  • Yoga & Relaxation

    This one day course aims to Motivate and Inspire customers to learn the power of yoga with relaxation and meditation with breathing techniques to practice.

    You will learn:

    * Understand what yoga means
    * Understand the benefits of yoga
    * Be able to explain the benefits of correct breathing
    * Practice hatha yoga postures with breath work
    * Take away relaxation and meditation techniques to use.

  • Food Safety Level 2 Certificate

    This 1 day course offers a basic understanding of food safety in a catering environment. It aims to provide knowledge and understanding of food hygiene.

    You will learn:

    * How to take personal responsibility for food safety
    * The importance of keeping working areas/ surfaces clean and hygienic
    * Importance of keeping food safe and associated food hazards
    * Good practice in the handling, processing and preparation of food

    The qualification is awarded after the successful completion of a 45 minute multiple choice exam. This is the basic qualification needed to work in catering.

  • Basic numeracy & literacy skills
