Young residents in Larkhall, Stockwell and Kennington can learn how to dance Bollywood, Belly Hip Hop, Bashment, Salsa, Soca and Street Dance.

Through our partnership work with the Larkhall Consortium and Sport Action Zone in Larkhall, Stockwell and Kennington we were made aware of these events and short classes organised by the U can Dance Studio. We would like to encourage our young residents who enjoy dance and eager to learn new things to take part in those new activities in the Borough.

If you want to feel more confident with your ultimate document which is your selling tool in the job market, your CV please come and join this one day course. We will go through basic things like good formatting, language to use personal profiles and help you to gain a better understanding of how to tailor it to different job roles, sectors and organisations. Employee Rights & Responsibilities – Understanding Business Culture – will be held on 24/06/15

We have all had negative experiences at work one time or another. This one day course will help you to reflect on grievances, redundancies, on going conflicts you may have experienced at work. The session will help you to recognise and identify similar scenarios if they were to come up again. The workshop will help you to gain insight and hopefully support you to draw closure on past negative experiences. It will also encourage you to have more confidence and have a fresh view. It will teach you some basic rights and responsibilities as an employee, help give you perspective, equip you with valuable information, techniques to support you to make positive decisions regarding proceeding with your work life.

This course will cover:

• Understanding ‘business culture’ – Assessing how does a place operate?
• What are it’s core values?
• Adopting assertive behaviour to improve communication and reduce misunderstanding
• Raising awareness of victimisation, harassment and bullying at work
