To provide employment skills and knowledge in relation to youth work and to increase the employment chances of those considering the role. Also to help participants to understand the industry and to better make informed choices about their long term career aspirations.

By the end of this session you will:

• Be introduced to the Youth Work Industry
• Be familiarised with aspects of Youth Work, including client groups and related working environments
• Be able to list the key skills and attributes needed to be successful as a youth worker
• Be introduces to some of the legal processes that govern youth work
• Be able to identify routes into youth work, including education and training
