Flexible benefits

Our flexible benefits scheme currently offers staff various goods and services via salary sacrifice. These include discounts and offers on a range of items. Some of the benefits are taxable and some aren’t. Our colleagues opt into flexible benefits annually in March (although childcare vouchers can be opted into at any point during the year). These include:

Dental insurance
Dental insurance gives you the freedom to go to the dentist of your choice with the knowledge that you will not be faced with unexpectedly large bills that you can’t meet. Your monthly contribution depends on the level of cover you choose.

Health cash plan
This benefit gives you money back towards the cost of everyday healthcare such as dental treatment, sight tests and glasses, physiotherapy, consultation with a specialist, acupuncture, osteopathy, etc. There are five levels of cover to choose from.

Childcare vouchers
Childcare vouchers provide a tax efficient method of paying for childcare. Paid from a flex allowance and/or in exchange for salary. National Insurance and income tax is saved up to a maximum of £243 per month.

Stormfront Apple retailer (iPads and laptops)
Stormfront is the UK’s largest Apple Premium Reseller with 23 stores nationwide. They are also an Authorised Apple Service Provider with one of the largest service centres in UK. You are able to select products to buy on a 12 month contract.

Give as you earn
CAF give as you earn is the most popular payroll giving scheme in the UK helping over 3,000 companies to give nearly £80m to charity each year. This flexible way to give enables you to donate to over 160,000 registered UK charities or to the cause of your choice locally, nationally or internationally.

Bike to Work*
UK government legislation allows employers to provide their staff with a bicycle to cycle to work and to use in their free time without paying any tax or National Insurance on the benefit. The bike will be loaned to you for a fixed period of 1 year and may be sold to you for a fair market price at the end of the loan period.

Critical Illness – employee
Critical Illness Insurance provides a lump sum benefit should you suffer one of a number of specified serious illnesses. The benefit is selected in terms of units of £10,000; up to 15 units may be selected.

GymFlex*
GymFlex is a service which enables you to purchase gym memberships at discounted corporate rates from a wide variety of different health clubs, gyms and leisure centres.

Benenden Healthcare
Benenden Healthcare Society is a not-for-profit organisation that provides low-cost healthcare assistance to public sector employees, housing associations and other not-for-profit organisations.

*If you leave Family Mosaic within the repayment period, the remaining amount will be reclaimed from your final salary.
