Residents lead the way for cancer research fundraiser

30 May 2008
Family Mosaic Donation Station collects £2000 for Cancer Research

Donation StationAround 50 residents at Dells Close and Larkshall Road, Chingford, took part in Family Mosaic's charity fundraiser organised by Resident Liaison Officer Kate Slade and Building Surveyor Eddie Cooney .

The Donation Station was set up in the Respite Area to raise money for Cancer Research. Many residents filled up bags of good quality clothes, toys, books, videos and other bric-a-brac that was no longer wanted. Over fifty bags were collected, raising around £2000 for cancer research.

Dells Close resident, Paula Moore, commented: ”It was a brilliant idea and a chance to have a spring clean whilst raising money for charity. It’s a very worthwhile cause.”

We will be continuing the donation stations throughout our sites where Internal Home Improvement works are taking place.
