Pathways into employment

29 Oct 2010
pathways2work places 83 residents into employment

pathways2work, our resident employment and training team, has successfully placed 83 residents into employment since April 2010 despite tougher conditions in the job market.

Based at Albion House, the team offers a mix of training and careers advice services to Family Mosaic tenants as well as some non-tenants.

From a distance...

pathways2work client Maxine, who was given £150 assistance from their personal job account to fund a Distance Learning course at Oxford College, recently completed the Diploma course in Congnitive Therapy and received a Distinction!

This will help her on her career path to work with vulnerable children. The team helped her to secure a job at Leapfrog Nursery and she now intends to further her studies and  apply to University to study Child Psychology.

She says, 'Pathways has given me real support, direction and the confidence to work towards my ultimate goal, one step at a time. I've moved on from being on JSA and now have a good qualification under my belt. I feel now that the sky's the limit. Thanks so much Pathways.'
