13 Oct 2010 Family Mosaic helps to push overcrowding into the spotlight
Family Mosaic's Chief Executive, Brendan Sarsfield, has been invited to take part in a high-level investigation into whether targets for the building of family-sized homes should be increased - with the longer term aim of tackling severe overcrowding in London's social housing.
The review tests the theory that creating a smaller amount of larger family homes, instead of a numbers-driven approach that sees a larger number of smaller homes being delivered, would have a more significant impact on reducing overcrowding.
Andrew Boff AM (London Assembly Member), who conducted the investigation on behalf of the Assembly's Planning and Housing Committee, is due to present his findings before Brendan and five other members from the HCA, GLA, Southwark, Mayor's Housing Forum, and the South East London Partnership.
