09 Sep 2009 All digital TV users will need to re-tune their TVs from Wednesday 30 September
From Wednesday 30 September, all Freeview TVs and digital set-top boxes will need to be re-tuned. This is because improvements are taking place as part of the nationwide digital switchover.
This retune is necessary to prepare the Freeview platform for future improvements to the digital TV service.
Affected services All Freeview equipment, including Freeview TVs, Freeview boxes, Freeview+ recorders, BT Vision and Top-Up TV boxes will need to be re-tuned – this affects about 18 million homes across the UK.
Un-affected services Analogue TVs, satellite and cable services, such as Sky, Freesat and Virgin Media do not need to be re-tuned.
As your landlord, we want to make sure you have the best possible services. Please make sure you re-tune your digital TV services from Wednesday 30 September – if you’re not around on that day, you can still re-tune after Wednesday 30 September but you are encouraged to do so as soon after this date to avoid losing any services.
If you are having problems re-tuning your TV, please call 0845 605 1122 or visit www.tvretune.co.uk.
