Bright Sparks is a new project set up by Islington Council to repair and reuse small electrical items and our estate at Isledon Village is one of the first estates to sign up to the project.

Estate Services Officer, Jim White, collects unwanted electrical goods and stores them until they can be collected and taken to the Bright Sparks workshop and repaired.

Jim White said: "We had our first collection at the beginning of September when a van load of TVs, kettles, irons, lamps, etc, were taken to be repaired. These items are then available from the Bright Sparks Shop at 225-229 Seven Sisters Rd near Finsbury Park."
