Apprentices prove worth to gain permanent posts
We're delighted to announce that we have created 6 new permanent jobs for our residents with our contractor Ardmore Construction.
Last year, we were pleased to have successfully placed our tenants’ children into apprenticeship training at one of our flagship schemes in Islington known as City Road (aka Reflections). All of them went through a structured apprenticeship training on site coupled with part time relevant NVQ course at colleges.
The young apprentices have shown a great deal of commitment and motivation, but dont just take our word for it. Here are some comments from Ardmore:
Aghili (Electrical NVQ 3) – 'Motivated young man, keen to learn, excited that he completed his NVQ 2 '
Luke (Electrical NVQ 3) – 'Motivated, reserved at first but has adapted well to the construction site, good reviews from college.'
John (Electrical NVQ 3) - 'Works well under supervision, he is now pursuing studies at University level alongside his NVQ 3'
Colin (Plumbing NVQ 2) - 'He has made significant progress since joining Ardmore'
Dillion (Carpentry NVQ 3) – 'One of Ardmore/Family Mosaic shining stars, shows lots of potential and is a good and reliable worker'
Eyob (City Road at present but will move with site on completion. Electrical NVQ 3) - 'Non English speaking background, has demonstrated good abilities to adapting to unfamiliar working environment and is doing well - great appraisal from his supervisors. '
Congratulations to all the apprentices involved, we wish them every success in their careers.
