Young people at Little Parndon showcase graffiti work

Young people at Little Parndon scheme in Harlow took part in a graffiti art project last month, working with a professional artist to produce a wonderful array of artwork.

Untitled9.jpgThe project saw residents at the young people's supported housing scheme in Essex learn the basic techniques used in graffiti from professional artist, Scott Irving (left), before producing their own work which is now on display at the scheme.

The tenants were full of ideas and Scott showed them how best to develop their initial designs, expand them and introduce other concepts into the work.

Two residents, who are also art students, were thrilled to get feedback from Scott on their portfolios, whilst they all had the chance to develop skills and an interest in a new activity.

As well as creating their own work, they all worked together to produce a joint picture.
