We are very pleased to announce that our flagship social inclusion project Get Connected has been shortlisted in the UK Housing Awards for the Outstanding Achievement in Housing (England) category.

Get Connected works with local young people to train and support elderly, unemployed and vulnerable customers from the same community to use computers. We then harness the skills of others in the community who volunteer as ‘digital mentors’ to offer tailored IT support to participants. To date 105 people have directly benefitted from the services of the project.

We have developed a robust approach that is effective with general needs residents as well as our supported customers, and have projects running in locations across London and Essex.
